SERGIO LLANA FUNEZ

Sergio Llana Funez is a Professor at the University of Oviedo, affiliated with the Department of Geology. His research focuses on structural geology, tectonic evolution of orogenic belts, and the relationship between lithospheric processes and surface topography.

Education:

• Doctorate (2000) from the University of Oviedo with the thesis "La estructura de la unidad de Malpica-Tui (Cordillera Varisca en Iberia)" supervised by Dr. Alberto Marcos Vallaure.

Research Interests: Microstructure and physical properties of deformed rocks, cataclastic deformation, seismicity, tectonic evolution of the Variscan orogen and Cantabrian Mountains, and fault-related seismic structures.
