Dr. Mansoureh Nickbakht is a Research Fellow at the University of Queensland Centre for Hearing Research (CHEAR), affiliated with the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Her work focuses on improving hearing services for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) populations, with current NHMRC-funded research addressing hearing service accessibility in multicultural Australia.

Research interests include health equity, family-centered care models, and stigma in hearing loss. She developed the Minimum Data Set for family-centered interventions, now implemented on the Australian Government Department of Health website.
Recent works (2025) examine cross-cultural stigma experiences, interpreter engagement in audiology, and health behavior impacts on education. Earlier projects (2020-2024) explored eHealth adoption, mental health referrals, and early intervention frameworks in both Western and South Asian contexts.
