Dr. Mansoor Soomro is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainability and International Business at Teesside University International Business School (TUIBS), serving as the Innovation and Enterprise Lead at the Future of Work Research Unit. He holds roles such as Course Leader for the MBA program and Sector Lead for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering. His academic journey includes a PhD from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and a PGCLTHE from Teesside University.
Research interests focus on Industry 4.0, sustainability, organizational resilience, and digital transformation. He has led projects like the Industry 4.0 Readiness Model for Malaysian technology companies and contributed to initiatives like the Made Smarter (North of Tyne Combined Authority) program. His work is featured in journals such as Emerald Foresight and Sustainability, with a strong emphasis on bridging technological advancements and human-centric approaches.
Dr. Soomro has received accolades including the Best PhD Thesis Award (2021), Best Paper Award (2019), and a prestigious World Bank Global Young Leaders selection. He serves on editorial boards for Journal Management Info and Social Sciences and Humanities Open, and his media engagements include BBC, CNN, and Harvard Business Review. As a certified trainer and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), he advocates for agile, situational teaching methods.
