Prof. Manda Broekhuis is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Groningen, and currently serves as Vice Dean of Education. She holds a PhD in Operations Management (2001) from the same institution. Her research focuses on professional service chains, healthcare management, E-commerce, and accountability mechanisms in service organizations. She has led three Master's programs: Supply Chain Management, Technology and Operations Management, and the Dual Masters in Operations Management with Newcastle University. She advises on modular care design and has coordinated courses like Service Operations and Quality Management.
Her research spans healthcare integration, urban health interventions, and professional decision-making. Notable projects include the Urban Design for Improving Health in Groningen (UDIHiG) and studies on modular care with Espria. She has supervised numerous PhD students exploring topics like service triads and healthcare applications. Her work bridges operations management with healthcare and public policy, emphasizing practical solutions for service delivery challenges.
