Prof. Bert Meijboom is a Professor of 'Organization of Healthcare Chains' at Tilburg University's Department of Management (TS Economics and Management). He leads research in healthcare operations, supply chain management, and service modularity through TRANZO, Tilburg's interfaculty health research program. His career includes 6 years in operations at Heineken Breweries before academia. He has held roles as Associate Professor (1994–2015) and Endowed Chair (2015–present).
His research focuses on healthcare networks, modular service provision, and improving care pathways. Recent work addresses palliative care integration in Belgium, continuity of pediatric anorexia treatment, and bundled payment impacts on cardiovascular care costs.
