Mamta Jain

Mamta Jain, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in Infectious Diseases. She leads the ID Research Unit and chairs the Division's Research Committee. Her academic career spans over two decades, with a focus on HIV, viral hepatitis, and emerging infections like COVID-19. Dr. Jain's research emphasizes clinical outcomes, with significant NIH and CPRIT funding supporting her work on therapies and health system interventions.

Education: She earned an AB in Politics from Princeton University, an MD from Baylor College of Medicine, and an MPH in Epidemiology/Statistics from the University of Texas Houston School of Public Health.
