Malte Damgaard Hansen is a Doctoral Research Fellow in French Literature and Culture at the University of Oslo (UiO), affiliated with the Department of Literature, Area Studies and European Languages. He holds a Master's (2021) and Bachelor's (2018) in Comparative Literature from the University of Copenhagen, with additional studies at EHESS in Paris and Université Paris-Diderot. His research focuses on Early Modern French Literature, Ecocriticism, and the Blue Humanities, particularly exploring water-related themes in 16th-17th century texts. He participates in the EcoLit research group on ecocritical studies. Previously, he taught high school in Høje-Taastrup (2021–2024).
