Dr. Malik Elbuluk is a part-time Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Akron's College of Engineering and Polymer Science. He joined UA in 1989 and holds a D.Sc., M.S., and E.E. from MIT (1986, 1980, 1981) as well as a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Khartoum (1976). His research focuses on Power Electronics (analysis, design, modeling, and control of power converters), Control Systems (applying classic, modern, and intelligent controls like fuzzy logic and neural networks), and Clean Energy Systems, particularly in distributed energy resources and transportation electrification.
