Dr. Nghi H. Tran is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Akron's College of Engineering. He joined the university in 2011 and serves as the ABET coordinator for the ECE department, with his office located in ASEC 352 and laboratory in ASEC 362.
His educational background includes:

- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Hanoi University of Technology, Vietnam (2002)
Dr. Tran's research focuses on Communication and information theories, Wireless communications, Energy-efficient wireless networks, and Security. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical implementations in next-generation wireless systems, emphasizing resource optimization and robust security protocols.
He has received the prestigious NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship and holds IEEE Senior Member status.
