Malihe Ghaffari

Malihe Ghaffari is a PhD student and part-time lecturer at Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín, affiliated with the Department of Functional Materials within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. She teaches 'Testing of Technical Materials' for the 2024/25 academic year.

Her research interests span multiple areas of materials science with focus on:

• Glass-ceramic composites and their mechanical properties
• Transparent conductive oxide films
• Advanced materials characterization techniques
• Sintering processes and thermal properties

Her expertise includes operation of SEM, TEM, BET, XRD, XRF, and Autolab equipment, gained through years of work as an instruments expert. Her research output shows specialization in zirconia-reinforced composites and synthesis techniques for specialized glass-ceramic materials.

Malihe has contributed to the field through publications in the Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids and holds patents related to glass-ceramic synthesis. Her current doctoral research focuses on band-gap modulation of transparent conductive oxide films through nitrogen incorporation.
