Dr. Malama Tsimenis is an Associate Professor in the Teaching Stream at the Department of Language Studies, University of Toronto. She has been recognized for her commitment to undergraduate teaching through various awards and nominations during her nine-year tenure at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC).
- Education: Ph.D. in 19th Century French Literature from the University of Montreal
Research Interests:
Her work focuses on Innovative Pedagogy (including Experiential Learning, Interactive Assessment Tools, and Blended Teaching), alongside traditional areas in 19th Century French Literature and Literary Criticism. She also explores Prefatory Discourse and Aesthetic Theory.
Academic Collaborations:
Dr. Tsimenis actively engages with the Teaching Assistants’ Training Program, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (UTSC), and the Centre for Teaching Support and Innovation (St. George campus). She mentors teaching assistants and coordinates language courses.
