Safieh Moghaddam is an Associate Professor of Linguistics in the Department of Language Studies at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). Her work focuses on syntax, morphology, and the preservation of endangered languages, alongside pedagogical research in teaching strategies, online learning, and hybrid learning models.
She teaches courses such as Introduction to Linguistics, Syntax, English Grammar, and Sociolinguistics, emphasizing language diversity and universals. A native Persian speaker, she has expertise in French, Turkish, Arabic, Sorani Kurdish, Dari, Pashto, and Davani.
