Dr. Mahua Das is a Lecturer in International Health at the School of Medicine, University of Leeds, and Programme Director for the MSc International Health. She specializes in qualitative research, focusing on global health systems, community engagement, maternal and reproductive health, and urban health in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Her research includes multi-country projects like the CHORUS urban health systems program and the MRC-funded COSTAR study on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Bangladesh and Nepal. She also leads interdisciplinary initiatives through the Crucible program and has secured grants from the University of Leeds and ESRC.
She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules, supervises research students, and chairs ethics committees. Her work bridges sociology, health policy, and participatory approaches to strengthen health systems in LMICs.
