Mahjoor Lone

Dr. Mahjoor Ahmad Lone is a Research Fellow at Northumbria University's Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences. Previously, he was a post-doctoral fellow at National Taiwan University.

His expertise lies in paleoclimatic reconstruction using geochemical methods on speleothems from Asia and Africa, focusing on decadal to millennial-scale climate variability controlling factors. His interdisciplinary approach examines how various environmental factors influence past climate patterns across different timescales.

With over 28 publications in international journals, Dr. Lone serves as Associate Editor for the Arabian Journal of Geosciences and is an active member of several scientific societies including the American Geophysical Union and International Association of Hydrological Sciences.
