Maher Said is an Associate Professor of Economics and Academic Director of Executive MBA Programs at NYU Stern School of Business. He joined Stern in 2014 and is affiliated with the Department of Economics within the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
His research interests lie at the intersection of game theory and industrial organization, with a strong focus on information economics and dynamic mechanism design. He studies how contracts and market mechanisms can be optimally designed when information is asymmetric, particularly in evaluating forecasters and experts. His work spans dynamic auctions, screening mechanisms, and strategic persuasion.
The recent articles highlight a consistent trend in dynamic economic modeling, particularly in information revelation, incentive design, and strategic behavior in markets. His research frequently employs tools from game theory and microeconomic theory to analyze long-term contracting, expert evaluation, and auction design under uncertainty.
