Maher El-Masri is an Associate Professor and Research Leadership Chair in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Windsor. He holds the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Journal of Nursing Research. His research focuses on improving healthcare outcomes, particularly in areas such as dialysis patient care, emergency room care optimization, and cancer screening for First Nations and Métis populations. He has received grants for studies addressing kidney dialysis outcomes and collaborated with Windsor Regional Hospital on groundbreaking projects. El-Masri has been recognized for his leadership in nursing research by provincial nursing associations.
He actively contributes to academic and clinical communities through conference organization, including chairing the Great Lakes Biennial Nursing Conference, which bridges research and practice in nursing.
