Her research program centers on identifying and understanding modifiable mortality determinants among maintenance dialysis patients and developing innovative treatment strategies to reduce these risks. She has a particular focus on hemodialysis procedural risk factors, with much of her work examining dialysis hemodynamics, fluid management, and blood pressure patterns among maintenance hemodialysis patients. Dr. Flythe is committed to incorporating patient-centered outcomes and preferences into her research to ensure patient priorities drive outcomes research.
