Mahan Mathur

Mahan Mathur, MD, is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging at Yale School of Medicine. He specializes in abdominal and pelvic imaging, with a focus on genitourinary tract imaging and MRI safety. Dr. Mathur holds multiple roles, including Medical Director of Student Education at YSM and Associate Director of the Diagnostic Residency Program. He is deeply involved in medical education, curriculum development, and mentoring.

Education: MD from McGill University (2007), residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital (2012), and a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital (2013). Internship completed at Greenwich Hospital (2008).

Research Interests: Advanced imaging techniques in genitourinary systems, contrast dye safety in MRI, and innovative medical education strategies. His work bridges clinical practice and education, emphasizing evidence-based imaging practices and trainee development.
