Candice A. Bookwalter

Candice A. Bookwalter is a Professor in the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, specializing in abdominal imaging and MRI safety. She holds MD and PhD degrees from Case Western Reserve University and completed her residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center.

Her research focuses on:

• Innovative MRI applications for endometriosis detection
• Contrast media safety protocols
• Non-contrast angiography techniques
• Pelvic venous disorders

Dr. Bookwalter leads multiple institutional committees including the MRI Safety Committee and Enterprise MR Safety Collaboration Team. Her honors include the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society induction and Distinguished Reviewer recognition from Abdominal Radiology.
