Magnus Dahlquist is the Handelsbanken Professor of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He earned his PhD in 1995 from Stockholm University and has held roles such as Director of the Institute for Financial Research (SIFR) from 2003 to 2008. His research focuses on asset management, asset pricing, and international finance, particularly investment behavior, pension plan design, and currency markets. Dahlquist has taught at Duke University, London Business School, and UCLA, among others. He advises various institutions, including the Norwegian Ministry of Finance and Danish ATP, and serves on investment committees for the Church of Sweden and Nobel Foundation. His work emphasizes practical issues in asset management and policy impact.
