Magnus Andersson is a Professor at Umeå University's Department of Physics and Head of the Biophysics and Biophotonics research group. His work focuses on developing photonic tools for studying biological systems, particularly bacterial spores and pathogenic mechanisms. Research emphasizes optical tweezers, microfluidics, and advanced imaging techniques like digital holography.
