Maggie Burk is an Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She leads the Carthage Choir, Lincoln Chamber Singers, and Carthage Chorale (Vox Ignis), while teaching conducting and education courses. Her roles include clinician for All-State and District honor choruses across multiple states and director of choral ensembles at the University of Michigan.

Her research interests focus on choral music's transformative power, community engagement, and music education. She advocates for public school music programs and has led workshops like 'Sounds from Within' with incarcerated men. As a composer, her works are published by Oxford University Press and Hal Leonard, including commissions like 'This Holy Hour' and 'Recuerdo.'
Awards include the Robert Shaw Prize and ISM’s Faculty Prize. She is an active church musician, professional chorister, and vocalist with groups like Audivi and Yale Choral Artists.
