Professor Magdalena S. Sanchez is a faculty member in the Department of History at Gettysburg College, USA. She specializes in Spanish History and Early Modern Europe, with a particular focus on the role of women in dynastic marriages and cultural transfer.

Publications include the book The Empress, the Queen, and the Nun (1998) and contributions to edited volumes such as Early Modern Dynastic Marriages and Cultural Transfer (2015, 2024). Courses taught include HIST 209 (Women's History Since 1500) and HIST 428 (Letter-Writing in Early Modern Europe).
