Magdalena Blanz is a postdoctoral researcher at the Vienna Institute for Archaeological Sciences, University of Vienna, specializing in stable isotope analysis of bioarchaeological remains. She leads the stable isotope ratio preparatory laboratory for bioarchaeological studies and has conducted research across Europe and Turkey.
- Research Focus: Diagenetic changes in strontium isotopes
- Projects: Neolithic Animal Husbandry, Diet in Early Bronze Age, Health-diet correlations in Roman Croatia
Her work spans dietary reconstruction, experimental archaeology, and method development.
