Maeva Techer, Ph.D., is a Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Texas A&M University Department of Entomology under Dr. Hojun Song. She is a trainee member of the NSF Biological Integration Institute-Behavioral Plasticity Research Institute. Her research focuses on understanding how species and populations adapt to environmental changes through genetic variability, particularly studying the genetic basis of locust phase polyphenism using genomic, epigenomic, and transcriptomic approaches. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Biology from the University of Reunion Island and a Ph.D. in Population Genetics and Ecology from the same institution.
