Charles Criscione is a Professor and Associate Dean of the Graduate and Professional School at Texas A&M University. He holds a B.S. in Zoology from Louisiana State University, an M.S. in Biology from Southeastern Louisiana University, and a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Oregon State University. His research focuses on ecological and evolutionary questions in parasite systems, spanning population genetics, biodiversity conservation, and ecological genomics. He leads the Criscione Lab, which investigates parasite life cycles, mating systems, and their evolutionary implications.
His research interests include the interface of ecology, evolution, and genetics, with a focus on parasitic organisms such as trematodes and helminths.
