Madeleine Wolf (she/her/hers) is an Assistant Professor of Romance Languages at St. Olaf College, specializing in nineteenth-century French literature. Her research explores intersections of noise/sound studies, sociopolitical norms, gender theory, and literary representation through the lens of French literary works.

Her scholarly work investigates how writers leverage noise to challenge literary conventions and gender norms during the 19th century. Outside academia, she enjoys travel, lakeside walks, and culinary exploration.
