Madeleine Moore is a Part-Time Lecturer in Fine Art and Painting at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD), Ireland. She holds a BA, BSc, and MA in Painting from institutions including UCL Bartlett School of Architecture, Slade School of Fine Art, and Chelsea College of Art and Design (1997).
Her research explores spatial representation, cultural references in architecture, and the intersection of modern architecture with film and literature. Her artistic practice focuses on simplified depictions of interior/exterior spaces, blending reality and fiction through painting and drawing.
Moore has exhibited widely in solo and group shows since the late 1990s, including key venues like Pallas Heights (Dublin), Fenderesky Gallery (Belfast), and Kevin Kavanagh Gallery (Dublin). Notable exhibitions include 'The New Spirit' (2005) and 'Utopia Free Zone' (2000). Her work has been reviewed in Circa, The Irish Times, and Time Out.
She has held teaching roles at multiple Irish and UK institutions, including Crawford College of Art, Limerick School of Art, and the Royal College of Art. Additionally, she practiced architecture with firms like Foster and Partners and as a self-employed architect in Ireland, Germany, and the UK.
