Madeleine Kechagia is a Visiting Specialist at Plymouth University's School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. She also serves as a PhD researcher and Teaching/Support Assistant in Human Geography. Her research focuses on environmental policy and politics, with specific interests in climate change, sustainable development, carbon markets, energy technologies, and environmental justice.
Her current research examines community attitudes and perceptions toward shale gas fracking in the UK, with field studies conducted in Lancashire and Yorkshire. She holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Environmental Management from Plymouth University and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia.
