معرفی
Madeleine Doiron is an Assistant Professor of Biology and Coordinator in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Flagler College. Her research focuses on ecological interactions, particularly how species respond to environmental changes, with a specialization in Arctic ecosystems and avian biology. She holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Université Laval, Canada, where her dissertation explored climate change impacts on plant-herbivore dynamics in the Arctic.
- Education:
- Ph.D. in Biology, Université Laval (Quebec City, Canada)
- M.Sc. in Biology, Université du Québec à Montréal
- B.Sc. in Biology, Université de Moncton
Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as Environmental Science, General Biology, Ecology, and Climate Change. Her research integrates field studies and satellite data to understand climate-driven ecological shifts, with notable work on snow geese and Arctic vegetation dynamics. She maintains an active research program involving students in coastal field studies and ecological modeling.
Dr. Doiron’s publications emphasize trophic mismatches, nitrogen cycling in Arctic ecosystems, and long-term ecological monitoring. She is available for collaboration and student mentorship, with office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
