Maciej Tomaszewski is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Manchester and Honorary Consultant Physician at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He directs research on genetic mechanisms of hypertension and cardiovascular-renal diseases, leading the Integrative Cardiovascular Medicine Theme at NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre.
Research focuses on:
- Genetic epidemiology of kidney function
- Biomarkers for treatment adherence
- Multi-omics approaches to blood pressure regulation
Honors include presidency of the International Society of Hypertension (2020-2022) and editorial roles for leading journals including Hypertension and Cardiovascular Research.
