Maarten Ambaum is Professor of Atmospheric Physics and Dynamics at the University of Reading's Department of Meteorology. His research focuses on fundamental atmospheric processes including energy transfer mechanisms, cloud electrification phenomena, and storm track variability using theoretical modeling and experimental approaches.
Research interests span thermodynamics of climate systems, electrical properties of cloud droplets, geophysical fluid dynamics, and applications of Bayesian statistics to atmospheric science.
