MURATA Yasuko is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at Kwansei Gakuin University, where she has served since 2018. Her career includes roles as Associate Professor (2010–2018) and Assistant Professor (2009–2010) at the same institution, preceded by a JSPS Special Researcher position at Kyoto University (2003–2006). She holds a Doctor of Literature in Sociology from Kyoto University (2007) and has extensive international experience, including visiting roles at the University of Manchester (2008–2009, 2022–2023) and academic exchanges in the UK and Europe.
