Mohamed Abadi

Mohamed Abadi is a Lecturer in the Management of Projects at the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering (MACE) at the University of Manchester, where he directs the MoP MSc program. He holds a PhD in Construction Project Management from the University of Manchester (2005) and has taught at institutions including the University of Aleppo and SKEMA Business School. His research focuses on Circular Economy in Construction, Risk Management, and Industry 4.0 applications. He has been recognized with the APM Project Management Educator of the Year Award (2023) and multiple Best Paper Awards.

Abadi’s expertise spans Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS) modeling for construction data, AI-driven decision-making, and sustainable development goals. He has supervised over 20 research projects and published widely on circular supply chains, virtual teams, and construction policy frameworks. Current research includes lifecycle circularity assessments and embedding sustainability into project frontend planning.
