Elika Aminian is a Lecturer in Management (Distance Learning) within the Department of MACE at The University of Manchester. She coordinates the People and Organisations unit for the MSc in Management of Projects (MOP) and contributes to PGT and undergraduate units in MACE. Her research focuses on organisational behaviour in project-oriented organisations and commercial inter-firm relations in the construction sector, leveraging Transaction Cost Economics frameworks. Prior to academia, she worked in the UK construction industry and held a lectureship at the University of Cumbria, teaching project management subjects like commercial management and stakeholder engagement.
Educationally, she holds a PhD (2015) and MSc (2009) from The University of Manchester, both in relevant fields. Her research output includes studies on inter-firm opportunism, human research ethics in construction management, and gender barriers in the industry. Notable works include a 2025 conference paper on gender underrepresentation in construction and a 2024 article on digital tools in postgraduate project management assessments.
