Saleema Kauser is a Senior Lecturer in Organisational Strategy, PMO Management, and Organisation Studies at Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), The University of Manchester. She holds an additional role as Associate Head of Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement in the PMO Division. Her research focuses on business ethics, sustainability, religion/spirituality in organizations, strategic alliances, and gender equity in leadership roles. She has a PhD from Warwick Business School and prior degrees from the University of London, Cass Business School, and Aston University.
Dr. Kauser’s work emphasizes redefining workplaces through feminist and ethical lenses, particularly for underrepresented groups. She explores topics such as Islamic religiosity’s impact on ethical behavior, Arab women’s career challenges, and the role of strategic alliances in multinational contexts. Externally, she serves on boards for the Pankhurst Trust and Manchester Women’s Aid, advocating for women’s leadership and civic engagement.
Her articles span themes like spirituality’s influence on organizational ethics, gender barriers in Middle Eastern management, and behavioral dynamics in international partnerships. She contributes to editorial boards of journals like International Studies of Management and Organization and the Academy of Management’s MSR Division. Her research aligns with UN SDGs on gender equality and responsible consumption.
