Dr. Muhammad Khurram Tufail is a researcher at CIC energiGUNE, specializing in advanced materials for energy storage systems. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Beijing Institute of Technology (2021) and completed postdoctoral research at Qingdao University's College of Materials Science and Engineering. His work focuses on developing inorganic solid electrolytes (e.g., sulfides, oxides), polymer electrolytes for flexible batteries, and stabilizing interfaces in solid-state batteries. He has published over 35 high-impact articles and received awards including the Chinese Government Scholarship (2016) and Beijing Institute of Technology's Excellent Student Award (2019-2020).
Research interests span the synthesis of novel materials for lithium/sodium batteries, electrochemical characterization, and sustainable energy solutions. His recent studies emphasize garnet solid electrolytes, air-stable superionic conductors, and photocatalytic pollutant degradation. Collaborations with interdisciplinary teams address challenges in battery safety, flexibility, and environmental applications.
Awards highlight his contributions to materials innovation, and grants include the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund Scholarship (2011). His work bridges fundamental material science with applied technologies for next-generation energy storage systems.
