Assoc. Prof. MEHMET ZÜLFİ CENNET is an academic at Bingöl University's Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Department of Tafsir. He holds a PhD from Atatürk University and has conducted extensive research on classical Quranic exegesis (Tafsir), focusing on figures like Şerîf el-Murtazâ and Tâhir b. 'Âşûr. His work bridges Shi'a theology, Mu'tazila thought, and Quranic inimitability (I'jaz).

Research Interests: Classical Tafsir methodologies, Shi'a and Mu'tazila theological perspectives, Quranic recitation variants, and historical exegesis. His recent works analyze Quranic narratives about Prophet Muhammad’s early life and phonetic aspects of Quranic recitation.
Professional Contributions: Authored books on Islamic theology, contributed to Diyanet’s Quranic Encyclopedia project, and actively participates in academic conferences. He teaches Tafsir history, classical texts, and Arabic phonetics at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
