Prof. Dr. NAIM DÖNER is an Associate Professor at Bingöl University's Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Department of Tafsir. Born in 1973 in Solhan, he holds a theology degree from Fırat University (1999) and has served in religious roles including Imam, Preacher, and Assistant Mufti under the Presidency of Religious Affairs. He joined Bingöl University in 2014 as an Assistant Professor, advancing to Associate Professor in 2019. His expertise spans Quranic exegesis, Islamic theology, and classical commentaries.

Research interests focus on Quranic hermeneutics, Mu'tezila rationalism, Sufi theology, and the evolution of Shi'a thought. His recent work examines theological debates around Quranic inimitability (I'jaz) and inter-school philosophical dialogues.
His publications analyze textual critiques of classical commentaries (e.g., Bitlisî's Jami'u't-Tenzil) and modern scholars' approaches to Quranic themes like Jihad and divine trust. He has reviewed over 20 academic papers in theology journals and actively participates in international symposiums on Islamic thought.
Advisory work includes supervising master's theses on Quranic themes and serving on academic juries. He is a reviewer for Bingöl University's theology and linguistics journals.
