Maria Miceli is a Full Professor (academic rank: Professor) at the University of Palermo within the School of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences. Her research focuses on Roman Law and its enduring influence on modern jurisprudence, constitutional systems, and civil liability statutes.
Research Trends: Analysis of Roman legal paradigms (e.g., Aquilian liability, exceptio doli, bona fides) and their adaptation in contemporary European law, with particular emphasis on property rights, judicial impartiality, and constitutional balance of power.
