MARGARITA RICO GOMEZ

Margarita Rico Gomez is a University Professor at the Department of Anatomy, Animal Production and Veterinary Clinical Sciences within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Santiago de Compostela. She is affiliated with the Strategic Grouping in Sustainable Management and Production of Bioresources (BioReDes) and the CTleite research group focused on milk and food production, quality, and technology.

• Education: PhD (1995) in Animal Production from the University of Santiago de Compostela, with a thesis on "Regulation 'in vitro' of GH secretion in ruminants by neuropeptides" supervised by Dr. Luis Felipe de la Cruz Palomino.

Her research interests span animal production systems, veterinary endocrinology, sustainable bioresource management, and food safety technologies. She contributes to academic and strategic R&D&I initiatives in these domains.
