MACE de GASTINES Etienne

Etienne MACE de GASTINES is a Lecturer at INSA Rouen Normandie, affiliated with the Control, Optimization and Probability-Statistics (COPS) team under the LMI laboratory. He completed his PhD in Mathematical Engineering from September 2019 to October 2023, focusing on graph comparison problems through polyhedral and tree-based methodologies. His thesis, funded by an establishment grant, was supervised by Bruno Portier and Arnaud Knippel.

He defended his thesis on October 9, 2023, at INSA Rouen Normandie. The defense jury included prominent figures such as Didi Biha Mohamed (University of Caen Normandy), Martine Labbé (Free University of Brussels), and others. His research interests span optimization, statistics, graph theory, and mathematical modeling applied to complex systems.

Etienne held an ATER (Attaché Temporaire d'Enseignement et de Recherche) position at INSA Rouen during 2023/24, combining teaching and research responsibilities. His work contributes to advancing computational methods for graph analysis and combinatorial optimization.
