- Faculty of Economics and Law, University of Lleida
Her research centers on applied econometric and statistical analysis, with a focus on the impact of economic and employment policies on youth and economic inequality. A significant portion of her work analyzes gender disparities in the labor market, particularly wage structures in Spain and Catalonia during periods of economic recession. She investigates how socioeconomic policies affect youth employment and contribute to persistent inequalities.
The two most recent articles highlight her focus on gender inequality in the labor market under economic stress. These studies analyze the Spanish and Catalan labor markets, employing econometric models to assess how recessions exacerbate wage gaps and structural inequalities, especially affecting women. Her work combines regional economic analysis with gender studies and policy evaluation.
Throughout her career, Cabasés has held key administrative and public service roles, including Academic Secretary, Vice-Dean, and Dean at the University of Lleida, as well as Secretary General of the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia and Deputy in the Parliament of Catalonia. These positions reflect her deep engagement with academic governance and public policy.
She is actively involved in national and European socioeconomic research projects and contributes to academic discourse through international conferences, such as the 53rd ERSA Congress in Palermo. Her work with JOVIS underscores a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration in youth studies.
