Stefan Müller is a Full Professor of German Linguistics (Syntax) at Humboldt University of Berlin. He holds a PhD (1997) and Habilitation (2001) in Computational Linguistics from Saarland University. His research focuses on Head-driven Phrase Structure Grammar (HPSG), German syntax, and computational linguistics, with contributions to grammars for German, Chinese, and Maltese. Müller has held professorial positions at Freie Universität Berlin, Universität Bremen, and others since 2003. He is a member of Academia Europaea (2014) and a key developer of the Babel grammar system. His work integrates theoretical linguistics with practical applications in language technology, including TRALE grammar-development frameworks and runtime systems.
