Lyse Langlois is a Full Professor at the Department of Industrial Relations, Faculty of Social Sciences, Université Laval. As Executive Director of OBVIA (International Observatory on Societal Impacts of AI and Digital Technology), she leads critical research at the intersection of AI ethics, governance, and societal transformation. Her work spans Industry 4.0, democratic implications of AI, and sustainable health technology.

Lyse's research interests focus on ethical AI governance, digital democracy, and responsible innovation. Her recent publications address generative AI risks, national digital identity frameworks, and health emergency response systems.
She has received the prestigious Willower Excellence Award (2018) for her groundbreaking contributions to AI ethics understanding. Currently, she serves as a member of the Quebec government's cybersecurity committee and the National Consultation Body on AI in Higher Education.
Lyse collaborates extensively with international research groups and leads interdisciplinary projects that bridge law, philosophy, and technical AI research. Her work on digital tools during health emergencies has significantly shaped policy responses, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
