Lynnelle Ediger is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Harp at Shenandoah Conservatory and founder/director of the American Youth Harp Ensemble (AYHE) and GreenSpring International Academy of Music. She holds BM and MM degrees from Oberlin College and an MA in Arts Administration from Goucher College. With over 25 years of teaching experience, her students have won international competitions and performed with leading orchestras.
Her research focuses on harp pedagogy and ensemble direction. The AYHE, recognized as a 'national cultural treasure' by the U.S. State Department, has performed over 1,000 concerts worldwide, including at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. She has commissioned numerous works expanding harp repertoire.
Awards include:
- Governor’s Citation for Excellence in the Arts (Virginia)
- Two-time Top Forty Under Forty honoree
- Del Keiffner Award for Outstanding Arts Educator
- Grammy Teacher of the Year Semi-Finalist
- YWCA Outstanding Woman of the Year in Arts
