Lynne Thompson

Lynne Thompson is a Visiting Faculty member recognized for her contributions to poetry and literary arts. She served as the Poet Laureate of Los Angeles from 2021 to 2022 and holds a Poet Laureate Fellow position at the Academy of American Poets. Thompson has authored three acclaimed poetry collections, including Beg No Pardon, Start With A Small Guitar, and Fretwork, with her fourth collection Blue on a Blue Palette forthcoming in 2024. Her work has been nominated for prestigious accolades such as the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net Award.
