Lynn Kaye is an Associate Professor of Rabbinic Literature and Thought at the Department of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, Brandeis University. Her research integrates legal and literary interpretation of Talmudic texts, emphasizing their relevance to contemporary theories in law, literary studies, and history. She also explores intersections between rabbinic texts and modern communities, focusing on meaning generation and experiential perspectives.

Her scholarly work spans Rabbinic Literature, Jewish Law, Literary and Critical Theory, Comparative Law, Hebrew and Aramaic Literatures, Time and Temporality, and Feminist Theory. She has published on topics such as time in Judaism, Talmudic narratives, and women's legal status, with recent interdisciplinary contributions appearing in Time: A Multidisciplinary Introduction (2023).
