Lynette Vincent is an Associate Professor of Music Education at East Texas Baptist University (ETBU) and serves as the Coordinator of Music Education. She holds a Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of North Texas (2008), a Master of Music Education from Lamar University (1997), and a Bachelor of Music from Lamar University (1993). Her academic expertise spans preschool to university-level music education, with certifications in Kodály and Orff pedagogies (Level I). She actively contributes to professional development programs for East Texas teachers and oversees Kodály training at ETBU.
Dr. Vincent has presented at prestigious conferences such as the Minnesota Music Educators Convention, Texas Music Educators Association Convention, and Texas Choral Directors Association Conference. Her teaching experience includes roles at the University of Minnesota Duluth (2008-2010) and the National Music Conservatory in Amman, Jordan.
As a committed Christian, she integrates a biblical worldview into her pedagogy, emphasizing respect and grace for students as "image-bearers of God." She resides in Marshall, Texas, and is an active member of Providence Church.
