Lynessa M. Rico

Lynessa M. Rico, PhD, serves as an Assistant Professor of Business and Management at National Louis University and directs the M.S. Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship and B.S. Management Programs. Her expertise spans consumer behavior, entrepreneurship, color theory, and strategic planning. She advises businesses on leveraging color psychology in marketing and product development to influence consumer decisions.

Educational background includes a PhD in Business Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Wichita State University, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Management from Wichita State, with a minor in Economics.

Her professional focus includes workshops for executive leadership on subconscious consumer behavior trends and sales tactics rooted in social psychology. She collaborates with innovation teams and marketers in large/mid-sized firms to optimize strategic decisions. Currently based in Chicago, she is an avid marathon runner and theater enthusiast.
